About The Department
Chemistry Department was started at this institution during the year 1991-92 with the Combination of Botany, Zoology and Chemistry in the Government Junior College, Rayachoty, Kadapa District premises and continued up to 2nd February, 2005.The College was shifted to New Buildings on 03rd February, 2005 with limited accommodation.
The Institution primarily affiliated to Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupathi. From 2009 it is under Yogi Vemana University. and offers instruction to the learners at Under-Graduate Level.
The main objective of starting this department is to impart quality education in the subject of Chemistry to local students in Undergraduate course. The department arranges Guest faculty Seminars and conduct student Seminars, Quiz, Group discussions. The department conducts remedial classes for slow learners and bridge course for non-chemistry students. The faculty member of the department attended the Seminars, Workshops and faculty development programmes.
The department has one well established lab.
