    BOTANY PROFILE

History of Botany

Botany Department was started at this institution during   the year 1991-92 with the Combination of Botany, Zoology and Chemistry in the Government Junior College, Rayachoty, and Kadapa District premises and continued up to 2nd February, 2005.    The College was shifted to New Buildings on 03rd February, 2005 with limited accommodation.

                        The Institution primarily affiliated to Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupathi.From 2009 it is under Yogi Vemana University. and offers instruction to the learners at Under-Graduate Level.

 The Department was headed by stalwarts like Sri B. Rama Subba Reddy, Sri Nazeer Ahmed, Sri Reddymuni swamy worked with this Department.

The department has got one well established labs.
