Realizing the importance of imaginative resources, a great philanthropist named Sri Polepalli Narasimhulu Gupta started the college, a temple of learning in the year 1978.  It has been flourishing as a centre of learning since its inception.  It took its birth on a Junior College premises.  It became a full pledged institute only in the year 2005.  It is located on the NH-18, Hyderabad and Chittoor.  It is spreading its wings slowly and steadily.  It offers the under graduate courses B.A., B.Com, B.Com (Computers), B.Sc., B.Sc. (Computers) and B.A. (UM), B.A. (UM Computers) Courses.  A majority of the students seeking admission in this college are hailing from the down trodden and economically poor section of the town and 50 peripheral villages. The present student strength of the college is 196 and 90% of them being the first generation literates.

          The college under the leadership of the dynamic Principal, a team of dedicated teachers and non-teaching staff, strives hard for the all round development of the students.

          Knowledge has always been the prime mover of prosperity and power.  The acquisition of knowledge has been the primary aim of our institution.  In order to achieve it, the Institute implements curriculum designed by Yogi Vemana University, KADAPA.  It is supplemented with co-curricular, extra-curricular and extension activities.

          “Working hands are holier than praying lips”.  The college has supportive services like NCC and NSS. The Volunteers of two NSS Units shoulder the responsibility for imbibing the values of Social, Cultural, Economic and Environmental aspects.  The NCC Unit stands for discipline, honesty and truthfulness.

          Character building is one of the best practices adopted by the institution.  The crown and glory of life is character.  The personality of students is moulded by imbibing the human values like tolerance, compassion, honesty, independence and common sense in them.

          The Principal is very much beholden to the staff and the students for their cooperation in preparing the report.  We also express our earnest thanks to the members of Academic     Cell, Office of the Commissioner of Collegiate Education, A.P., Vijayawada for their valuable support.  Finally, our deep sense     of gratitude goes to Dr. Pola Bhaskar, IAS, Special Commissioner of Collegiate         Education for her moral and financial extended to this college.

We ardently cherish that the valuable assessment made by the NAAC will certainly march the institute in to the right direction, channelizing our sincere efforts to the pinnacles of glory and prosperity on the scale.  The institute will be a ‘Beacon’ spreading its excellence in education dispelling ignorance around.
