VISION & MISSION

 

1.     The Department undertakes Teaching in a view to develop an attitude in Students to take Research in Telugu with emphasis on various aspects of historical and comparative students in Language and Literature.

 

2.     An equal importance is also giving for studies in classical literature along with interdisciplinary approach.

 

3.     To bring Language Skills among the Students.

 

4.     To study the evolution of the Cultural Institutions.

 

5.   To bring overall personality development among the students and make them responsible and enlightened citizens of the society.

 

OBJECTIVES

1.     To Promote Studies in Telugu Language and Literature.

 

2.     To develop Research orient mind.

 

3.     To frame the Syllabus as per the Changing needs of the society in value added courses/Certificate courses.

 

4.     To give importance for studies in Classical Literature along with interdisciplinary approach.

 

 

A Brief History:

            The Dept. of Telugu is functional since the inception of the College in 1978 and affiliated to SV University, Tirupati at first. Later affiliated to Y.V University, YSR Kadapa. Based on the sanctioned strength of students on Rolls, two posts were sanctioned and at present one regular lecturer is working. Besides teaching and learning activities of Telugu, the Dept. of Telugu extends its service to the Curricular, Co-curricular, Extracurricular, Institutional administrative and extension activities of the Institution.

ANNUAL ACADEMIC PLAN:-

 

     The Department prepares Annual Academic Plan in the beginning of every Academic year to have systematic approach.

 

CLASS ROOM ACTIVITES:-

To strengthen the knowledge of the students the faculty conducts mid test, class room seminars for students and assignments on the subject and discuss their performance and suggest them to overcome the short falls.

 

CONTRIBUTION OF THE STUDENTS:-

     The students actively participate in the activities being taken up by the department such as Class- room seminars and expressing their opinion on the various topics given.

ACADEMIC RECORDS:-

    The department maintains, Teaching Dairy, Synopsis, Departmental Marks Registers and other academic records suggested by the CCE and Yogi Vemana University, Kadapa.

 

 

 

 

TEACHING, LEARNING AND EVALUATION:-

   Teaching Aids such as photographs, models of great Poets, Authors and Social reformers are collected and used for effective and inspirative teaching learning process.

 

ANNUAL RESULTS (Student performance):-

     In order to make the students to know their performance in the University Examinations, The Department maintains University Marks register. The statics of the results are kept available in the department for students by placing in registers and pasting on Notice board in the form of graphical view and numerical data.
